Stephanie graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree and subsequently with a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from James Cook University (Singapore).
As a child psychologist, Stephanie provides psychotherapy to children and adolescents for a range of conditions, such as depression, anxiety, burnout, bereavement, difficulties with adjustment, attachment issues, and interpersonal difficulties. Understanding that every child’s struggles are unique, Stephanie draws from a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, to customise an appropriate management plan for each client.
Prior to pursuing her postgraduate studies, Stephanie worked in a hospital setting and provided psychotherapy to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with co-morbid mood and anxiety disorders, and emotional dysregulation. She also worked with families and educators in supporting these individuals across various domains in their lives.
With openness and curiosity, Stephanie creates a safe space for her clients in therapy, providing them with validation and support, as she partners them on their journeys towards living more value-congruent lives.
She is experienced in conducting psychological assessments and IQ Assessments for children and adolescents (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT-III) to facilitate placements for special education, and accommodations for the classroom and examinations. She also conducts diagnostic assessments for ASD.
As a firm believer of self-advocacy, Stephanie guides her clients towards self-acceptance, and empowers them to advocate for themselves in the face of stigma.
Stephanie is a mother who enjoys experiencing new things with her family. She also enjoys catching up with her friends over a good meal or exploring different board games.
Stephanie provides therapy in English and Mandarin.
Stephanie is also a contributor on Singapore Kindness Movement where she pens thoughtful pieces pertaining to mental health.
